The history of open stock company "chernovtsy furniture factory" was established in the distant 1945. The range of artels were founded in accordance with the resolutions and decrees of the government at once after the western regions freeing. The main task of the artels was to restore and to recover the wood-processing industry and to provide future product development.
After the war some significant transformations took place in the wood-processing industry, and as a result the founded enterprises were reformed and at their production base "the chernovtsy furniture factory in honour of the 50th anniversary of the ussr" was founded on the 13th of december 1972.
In 1978 for the first time in Ukraine the factory was awarded by the seal of quality for the production of block furniture. After this the products were exported to the Czech republic, poland, Germany, as well as to Canada and the us.
"the chernovtsy furniture factory" as a result of its privatization process was re-named to open stock company "chernovtsy furniture factory"
In 2002 the second stage of the privatization process took place, namely:
- the change of the top management and the renewal of the production, namely change of the products made of wood-dust plate to those made of natural wood with orientating on the us and EU customer
- the change of the production technology as well as new equipment provided opportunity to export about 90% of the manufactured products.
- increase of statute funds
- attraction of external financial resources
- purchase of stockholders securities (legal and natural person) LED to the securities concentration. This provided opportunity to manage much more efficiently the production process, as well as to quickly react to the change of market and economy situation
